EquipmentThe
equipment I use will ensure that you receive only the highest quality video. This
is accomplished by incorporating all-digital shooting and editing in each
production.
For shooting, I only use 3-chip digital cameras. This results in the highest quality
video. Most consumer cameras use only a single chip. A 3-chip camera will
result in image quality as good as or better than what you'd see in a
professionally produced television show.
Because the equipment I use is all-digital, there is virtually no generation loss
when copying the final video to VHS or DVD. When normal VHS tapes are
copied, you can easily tell which is the copy and which is the original.
With digital video, the copy looks just as good as the original.
To compliment the all-digital shooting and editing, I implore the use of
the following additional equipment:
Wireless Microphones
I want to make sure you can hear your vows and other important parts of the
ceremony where the bride and groom speak. I place a wireless lavalier microphone on
the grooms tuxedo to clearly pickup your voices. The microphone and cable is
discreetly placed on the lapel of the tuxedo near the boutonniere.
Video Lights
There’s nothing worse than watching a video that is too dark. I make
sure that doesn’t happen by using video lights on the cameras. They are
adjustable, which means that they can work with any shot without the need to
switch to another light.
Heavy Duty Batteries
All of the camera and lighting equipment need plenty of power. I use
belt and shoulder packs to ensure that I have enough power to last me
through the day and beyond!
Professional Video Tripods
I want your video to look as steady as possible, so I use professional
tripods to accomplish this. During the ceremony is where they come in quite
handy. I can gracefully pan around without any of the jerkiness you might
get from using less expensive tripods or no tripod at all.
Shoulder Harness
For those moments where I need to move around and cannot use a tripod,
the shoulder harness is ideal. This keeps the camera mounted steady on my
shoulders.
